Migration BeNeering Cloud
Update login page
With this release we are migrating our module Catalog Cloud Services (CCS) to our new portal technology called BeNeering Cloud. Both, buyers and suppliers will see on the login page of Catalog Cloud Services the option to login to the new BeNeering Cloud portal. Depending on the role a user is assigned, he will get access to the corresponding cloud applications, like Catalog Management, Organization Management, Sourcing and Order Management.
Access to our Guided Buying application remains as is, i.e. via Single-Sign-On from SAP and other systems.
New functions in Guided Buying
Option to disable User Default Settings dialog screen
We are going to add a check-box to disable the dialog screen of user default settings on the start page of Guided Buying. When this check-box will be ticked, then the dialog screen will not be shown when user will login next time.
Option to hide Submit button in minibasket
We are going to add an option to hide the Submit button that is displayed in the mini basket. This feature can be useful if you would like to force a user to enter the basket in Edit mode, so the assignment of accounting data and delivery address can be checked by the user.
Document Date in Goods Receipt
The Goods Receipt form is changed by adding the ability to set the "Document Date". "Posting Date" (previously named "Delivery Date") and "Document Date" will be prefilled with the current date. The mapping of both fields is matching the same naming convention as known in SAP Goods Receipt.
Cross-Company Buying
We are going to change the behaviour of the Cross-Company buying function. This means, a user can select another company or plant for purchasing if he has maintained one or more organization profiles in user settings. An organization profile can be setup for a company code, purchasing org, plant and other attributes too. By changing the organization/company profile, the system might reload the catalog view to match the company specific catalog content. Existing basket will be cleared.
Posting accounting data with Service Entry Sheet
Posting confirmation for services via Service Entry Sheet will support the input of accounting data. This function is aligned and mapped to the standard functionality in SAP, allowing users to enter one or several accounting lines. This function is becoming available when the accounting type for the Purchase Order item is 'U' (undefined).
Price Validation function - updated Crowdfox API
Guided Buying will be connected to the new Crowdfox API, supporting improved article price comparison and a more convenient navigation. The Crowdfox API will check in realtime, if a better price can be offered for the selected item. If this is the case, the user will be able to buy this item directly, without the need to Punch-Out to the Crowdfox Webshop. We have decided for a controlled roll-out of this new functionality to our customers, who are already connected to Crowdfox via BeNeering Cloud.
New add-to-basket function - updated Unite API
We are upgrading the connection (API) to Unite, allowing the users to search for Unite items within our Guided Buying application. In this new version, users will be able to add Unite items to the basket without the need to Punch-Out into the Unite Webshop (Mercateo Webshop).
Admin function to maintain substitutes
There are several cases where employees have forgotten to assign their substitutes, but urgent action is needed during the absence of an employee. With the new buyside Admin role the customer's support team is now able to assign substitutes centrally, so the context of an absent employee can be access by another authorized person. Please request the activation of this new role from our support team if needed.
MyCart Cockpit and logging
The new MyCart Cockpit is considered for our customer's support team. It shall help to analyze issues reported by end users with MyCart. Features like activation of logs, reading logs and changing MyCart draft documents shall help to find the root cause of reported issues.
New Catalog application
10 years after the initial shipment of Catalog Cloud Services (CCS) we are now launching a completely new version of our catalog management application. As the historical code was reaching its limitations, we have developed this module from scratch again. Now we are proud to present to you a modern design and much better performance with new functions for managing your catalogs.
For a transition phase of few months, suppliers and buyers can still work with the old version of our catalog management module (Catalog Cloud Services - CCS), until this module will be retired.
The exact functionality of each submodule will be introduced in our new documentation and can vary depending on the assignement of roles on each user.
Catalog Management
Catalog maintenance will allow users to upload catalog files and to send them for approval. Admin users can also create, change and delete catalogs.
View Management
View management will allow admin users to create, change and delete catalog views. A catalog view is used by buying organizations to limit access to catalog content for buying users. Not all features in view management have been migrated yet, but will be added in the summer release.
Territory specific pricing
We are introducing territory specific pricing so prices in the catalog can be plant specific. In consequence, users working for a plant in Berlin will see different prices than users working for a plant in Munich. An additional column will be added to the Excel validation log file: Price.X.Territory.
New functions in Organization application (new BeNeering Cloud portal)
Password settings
User detail screen allows a user to change his personal data and personal password.
User Management
The User function will allow admin users to create, change and delete users from their organization. Admins can also set user roles for each user respectively.
Organization Management
The Organization function will allow administrators to create, change and delete organizations from their organization. Buying administrators and support teams can use this function to invite suppliers for the collaboration with buying organizations. A supplier can be invited to collaborate on modules like catalog management, organization, sourcing and order management (posting service entry sheets).
File Manager for managing images and other MIME objects
File Manager allows users to upload and manage files to be shared with catalog content, like images, pdf documents or other supported files. It's functionality is similar to File Manager available in the old Catalog Cloud Services portal.
Password retention policy
We are introducing new password retention policy. Users that did not log in to BeNeering Cloud for over 90 days will be provided with a password change screen. New password needs to differ from last 5 used passwords.
Target Classification update (only old Catalog Cloud Services portal)
We will add option to mass update Target Classification by excel file. It will be possible to update Target Classification with the same version, as existing, and set it as default. After setting newly uploaded classification as default, related mappings will be revalidated.
New Features for Service Procurement
Adjusted filters for Service Entry Sheets
In previous versions it was difficult to find the confirmation a supplier has submitted. We have rebuild the logic of status filters for confirmations so now user can click on the filter 'All' in both sections. Registered section means the confirmation is available on the Cloud for further processing, whereas Published section means the confirmation has been submitted to the customer's ERP system.
Service Entry Sheets creation and display
We are changing the look & feel of Service Entry Sheets by separating the longtext field into the new tab. This layout has been adjusted to be complaint with the Service Entry Sheet layout which is offered on the supplier portal on BeNeering Cloud.
Reporting
System Measurement report
We are updating our reports for System Measurement and SLAs, which are available from the download center in the current Catalog Cloud Services (CCS) solution. These reports are automatically generated on the first day of each month.
The following features have been added to the system measurement report:
new EVENTS tab in Excel
counting users who entered Guided Buying in last 12 months (employees)
register last used mode of user from login and provide a counter on mode accross all users per mode
counting users who logged in to BeNeering Cloud portal in last 12 months (users)
counting RFQ documents of last 12 months
counting confirmations (Service Entry Sheets) of last 12 months
counting actions performed on documents, like sending email, sending PO to Amazon, etc.

In addition, the downloaded ZIP file with the system measurement report will also include a report of all customer opened and closed tickets of the previous month.
